War Games Revised

This is the penultimate print in the UEV suite, War Games Revised:

Note from Eduardo Paolozzi, Writings and Interviews, edited by Robin Spencer (ISBN 0-19-817412-8):  Visiting America for extended periods in the 1960s, and Japan at the end of the decade, afforded Paolozzi the opportunity to assess at first hand cultures which for long had been a source of fascination.  Although technology, such as the computer, suggested a new language, the art which resulted from these experiences, rather than celebrate the 'American Dream', often expressed disillusionment with it. The political climate of Vietnam overshadows print series such as Universal Electronic Vacuum in which elegant computer language is used ironically to represent fighter-plane insignia and bombs as the agencies of war.
